Description
Wade Direct Bury Splice Connector Kits are used in low-voltage applications where it is necessary to fasten multiple conductors together. Our connectors come to you ready to use, they are color-coded for quick and easy size identification, and are suitable for use in a wide variety of direct burial and wet location electrical connections. The UL Listed tight square-wire spring creates its own threads directly onto conductors for fast and secure connections for positive continuity with no slips or messes. Tightens without ratcheting, yet removable for re-use.
The tough high impact, UV-resistant thermoplastic shell of the “tight bite” lock nut, combined with the “field tested” protective red gel protects from and resists environmental extremes, hydrocarbons, acids, water, salt spray, weather, dirt, steam and oxidation. The special red gel is non-hardening and can resist heat up to 550° F as well as having special adhesive-cohesive properties and special corrosion/rust inhibitors.
The Wade Connectors come with deep skirt, wide throat lock nuts, deeply embedded into the protective red gel to provide superior dielectric flashover protection. Wade Connectors are the perfect connector for above or below ground outdoor use and are small enough to fit inside a valve box.
