Nearly 40 years ago, after finishing his career as a decorated Air Force pilot, Ray Wade had the simple, yet innovative idea for a locking lid burial splice connector. This idea formed the basis for – Wade Connectors. Mr. Wade dedicated his career and his company to the ideals of superior customer service, technical and quality control and treating people like family. Those ideas remain the core of our Company today.

In the early days of Wade Connectors, Mr. Wade’s children and grandchildren would often spend time in the barn – the Company’s first location- helping to manufacture, assemble and package the product. The Company continued to grow and prosper until Mr. Wade’s death in 2005. The Wade Connectors product line continues to be 100% made in the USA.

The family of Wade Connectors covers a wide range of wire and combination of wire applications. From golf courses and landscape lighting, you will find a Wade Connector specially designed for your requirement, each color-coded for ease of recognition and selection. The tough thermoplastic shell, wire nut and field-tested red gel compound, protect against environmental extremes, resist chemical reaction from hydrocarbons, acids, water, salt spray, dirt, steam and oxidation. The special red gel will not dry out and contains special adhesive/cohesive properties as well as special corrosion and rust inhibitors and resists heat up to 550º F. All Wade Connectors come with Ideal® deepskirt, wide throat wire locknuts. This wire locknut, when embedded into the protective gel, provides superior di-electric flash-over protection. Our connectors are made in the U.S.A.
